The Pacific Program for Environmental Health and Justice aims to strengthen the role of Pacific environmental NGOs, thereby contributing to regional and international efforts to grow the global environmental health movement to protect future generations and promote a toxic free future.

The project’s prime objective is to improve networking  and build capacity in the area of toxics reduction throughout the Pacific.

The first stage of the project focused on POPs and pesticides. In 2008 the project focused on public awareness and the management of electronic waste in the Pacific region. NTN has released its report on e-waste in Fiji and Samoa.

On request from environmental NGOs based in East Timor in 2009, NTN completed areport into the three proposed heavy oil power plants to be based in Timor-Leste to provide electricity.
